Harvest Fest
Harvest Fest is the annual fall sustainability fair on campus. At Harvest Fest, environmentally friendly vendors are featured on Stokes Lawn to promote their missions, products, and sustainability. Boston College students walk through the fair throughout the afternoon and interact with vendors and tables at the fair. In past years, there have been fun and interactive activities for students including recycling demos, pumpkin painting, and using a “Harvest Fest Passport” to receive stamps and prizes for talking to different vendors at the fair Rotten Screening The purpose of this documentary screening is to educate students about the intersection between diminishing bee populations and increased honey demand in the United States, as well as how corporate manipulation of this system negatively affects community health. |
Night Market
EcoPledge will be hosting the highly anticipated Night Market, a fun and educational event focusing on sustainability awareness. Come celebrate fall with free donuts and hot chocolate, live music, and creative fall-themed crafts and games! Featuring several on-campus organizations, Night Market aims to connect sustainability to each group’s mission, thereby elevating EcoPledge’s mission of making BC a greener campus. We hope students of all interests will venture down to Vandy Cabaret Room on Tuesday, Oct. 22 to learn about how to make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives, as well as to celebrate the earth and the changing seasons. |
